Following two years of postponement Lord’s Taverners Ireland were delighted to partner once again with Dead Ducks Motor Cycle Club and RevUp 2022 took place from 30th April to 2nd May with close to 40 motorbikes departing Dublin on a 2 night / 3 day mystery tour.

Registration commenced at Joe Duffy BMW Motorrad, Finglas at 9am on the Saturday morning where complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits plus packed lunches were kindly sponsored by Joe Duffy Motorad and every participant arrived early and eager to get on the road.

Although the weather wasn’t very kind, everyone was in good spirits as they set off on the first day of their 1,000km challenge.

The final stage of day 1 led the bikers to The Cavan Crystal Hotel which was their base for the two nights where they relaxed after a long, (and wet!) day and recharged their batteries for the next two days ahead.

The event was a great success and we are extremely grateful to all the volunteers, sponsors, too numerous to mention by name, and indeed the bikers who made this such an enjoyable and successful weekend.

Over €40k was raised and these funds are being allocated to various Irish Wheelchair Sports projects nationwide including individual equipment to help give young people a sporting chance. Special Olympics Navan also received the equipment pledged to them from the last event as their training recommenced following months of closure due to covid restrictions.

RevUp 2023 is already in the planning and if you would like to sponsor this event please contact Paula Cross on 087-9953397 for more details.

Rev-Up is dedicated to the memory of Aidan Lynam, one of the founding members of the event, who was tragically killed in 2015.
