Special Olympics Navan
RevUp funds raised on the previous run not only funded the minibus for Kingdom Wheelblasters in Kerry and soccer powerchairs for two young men in Dublin but an amount was also set aside to purchase badly needed equipment for Special Olympics Navan.
The club had very little training over the past two years because of pauses due to covid restrictions. Many of their athletes and a few volunteers have not been able to return since the pandemic, but they are hoping that in September they will all be back in full swing and can make great use of the equipment that has now been delivered!
The club were absolutely thrilled with the donation – “our most sincere thanks for the equipment allocated to the club from the fundraising done by the bikers.”
Klaudia Borkowska
Klaudia Borkowska is the first recipient of equipment funded by RevUp 2022 has already taken delivery of her new handcycle.
11yr old Klaudia has spina bifida and is a member of the IWA Rebel Wheelers sports club in Cork. She loves port and has been participating in it since she was 5yrs old but needed an adapted bike to participate properly.
Thanks to funds raised by RevUp participants and their sponsors she can now do exactly that!
