Policies & Accounts
Founded by a few Irish cricket lovers, The Lord’s Taverners Ireland started in 2007 as a branch of the major UK charity, The Lord’s Taverners, and in April 2009 became incorporated as a company limited by guarantee. The company obtained charitable exemption from the Revenue Commissioners shortly thereafter and in 2015 became a registered charity.
The company is governed by its Constitution and by agreements with The Lord’s Taverners. It has adopted and complies with the Governance Code for Charities published by the Charities Regulatory Authority. The company manages its affairs through the work of the Events Committee and the Officers Committee both of which report to the Board.
Throughout its history The Lord’s Taverners Ireland has benefitted greatly from the advice and support provided by The Lord’s Taverners including the three directors nominated to serve on our Board, initially John Hooper and Leo Callow and most recently Tom Rodwell.
